The 2024 Rwanda & Kenya Project

We’ll be running three weeks of workshops, training over 60 participants and 10 new local facilitators who can offer ERT workshops year-round.

  • Oct 21—Nov 1: We will be facilitating two separate weekly workshops for widows who survived the genocide in the Rusizi District of Rwanda.
  • Nov 4—Nov 8: In partnership with the Tembea na Rehema Foundation, we will be facilitating a one-week workshop for the staff and clients of a pregnancy clinic in Mombasa, Kenya

Endorsed by Dr. Porges and Polyvagal Theory (link), this approachable program is proven to impact the human nervous system significantly and eliminate symptoms of stress, trauma, PTSD and CPTSD

Project Funding

The delivery of the ERT program in Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya has been funded through the Martial Arts For Justice Organization since 2017.

As we work to expand this program, we are also expanding our fundraising initiatives with our first ever Go Fund Me campaign.

The budget for this charitable project will fund the delivery of 3 separate, 5-day workshops, in Rwanda and Kenya. 70+ participants will engage with this training at no cost to them.

In addition to the training, each participant will receive:

  • ERT™ Manual and shirt
  • Lunch, water and refreshments for all participants
  • Transportation costs for participants and trainees
